Our Payer Sales team is dedicated to partnering with health plans to address and solve complex problems caused by attempting to support their business with inaccurate or incomplete data. About the job:

The Business Development Representative (BDR) is an entry-level position to our dynamic sales and account management team.  Our BDRs find and develop new revenue growth opportunities from leads, through cold-calling, and effective utilization of social media focused on a specific territory or with specific named accounts.

You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Completing internal education program lead by or industry leading healthcare training program
  • Work in conjunction with the Market Sales Leader and the Regional Strategic Account Executive in identifying new prospects developing pipeline.
  • Calling on leads supplied by Marketing Lead Generation team.
  • Developing new leads through strategic and tactical outreach.
  • Understanding and articulating the value of LexisNexis Healthcare products and services while deploying needs analysis and understanding a prospects alternative solutions, including but not limited to competitive offerings.
  • Clearly demonstrating your understanding of LexisNexis administrative procedures, and organization to effectively communicate LexisNexis Healthcare products/solutions benefits in a manner meaningful to a customer and in a timely fashion.
  • Working with assigned SAE and MSL to develop strategies for new business opportunities, prospect management,  and sourcing/researching potential new prospects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent experience.
  • Work experience in a professional sales environment desirable.
  • Strong organizational, time management and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate outstanding networking capabilities and exhibit a professional demeanor, business maturity, and technical knowledge.
  • Healthcare industry knowledge is a preferred
  • Able to work as part of a team, accomplishing mutual team goals.
