The Service Sales Manager is responsible for driving business growth in Japan by providing sustainable strategic and tactical leadership to achieve sales and financial goals. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of the market and competitive landscape to develop effective go-to-market models and sales strategies. Additionally, the Service Sales Manager oversees the execution of these strategies to ensure successful business outcomes.
This position reports to the Director, Service Sales J-KOSEA and is part of the Service Sales group, Japan located in Tokyo, Japan and will be fully remote.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
1 Build and lead a Service sales organization and develop new Go To market model. Specifically, develop hybrid channel structure (direct & indirect). Manage on-boarding, performance of multiply channels and minimize channel conflict.
2 Ensure effective communication, motivational leadership, coaching and performance management of the Service Sales team. Provide effective leadership of teams in a motivational way and develop talent. Ensure that team have the right tools to reach their goals.
3 Creation and implementation of executable action plan to achieve the quarterly revenue targets across all segments and territories.
4 Provide support to the Sales rep; monitor trends to improve market intelligence. Develop strategies to improve sales in the region.
5 Drive monthly forecasting process to ensure accurate forecasting in Japan.
6 Maintains contacts key customers. Ensure that the regional sales teams develop knowledge of all products within the sphere of responsibility as well as sales soft skills. Works in partnership with internal contacts in support, marketing, order fulfilment to meet planned targets.
The essential requirements of the job include
Proven success working in a field-based role.
Proven success in penetrating and managing large accounts in BtoB business more than 3years.
An understanding of the market with life science background. Metrics driven with strong CRM/data analysis and reporting orientation: Lead conversion, funnel strength, win/loss analysis, forecasting, etc.
More than 5-8 years of experience in channel sales of industrial products, Good communication skills and sales skills; Strategic mind set
Proven track record of successful sales in bio-pharmaceutical, food, environment, forensics, medical, academia, and other industries, preferably related to Capillary Electrophoreses and Mass Spectrometry, preferred.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
Frequent business travel within Japan
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Strong communication and negotiation skills Highest levels of personal and professional integrity, ethics.
Must be native level of Japanese language. Verbal English communication skills at business level.
