Position Summary:
The Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Project Manager will manage CDBG-DR teams that include infrastructure, housing, economic development, and public services projects, cross cutting federal statutory requirements applicable to CDBG-DR, financial management, subrecipient management, systems of record, and consulting teams in providing programmatic and administrative support to local and state government clients in the implementation of CBDG-DR grants. This is a full-time employment position that will be fully remote but may occasionally require travel to client locations.
Responsibilities of the CDBG-DR Project Manager Include:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships, addressing inquiries, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Serve as a Project Manager and provide direction on urgent or essential tasks to ensure the successful completion of the project.
- Collaborate with grantees and stakeholders throughout the grant application process to ensure successful delivery of project outcomes.
- Conduct research and analysis on various disaster recovery compliance topics including financial controls, grant outcomes and deliverables, eligibility, program delivery, compliance with 2CFR 200 federal procurement, and general CDBG-DR best practices in administering grants to serve as a resource guide for our clients and staff.
- Support the Project Executive the Project Management Team providing in-progress reviews to ensure a strong and consistent quality standard across program deliverables.
Qualifications of the CDBG-DR Project Manager Include:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in the field of finance, accounting, business management, economics, public administration, or a similar discipline.
- Have a minimum of 7 years experience in federal grants management oversight (preferably Community Development Block Grant, Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery, Emergency Solutions Grant, or HOME Investment Partnerships) managing multimillion dollar projects.
- Participate in and provide input during weekly client meetings, project partner meetings, and additional client meetings as needed, including work stream management for timely delivery of agendas and meeting notes.
- Contribute to monthly reports for our clients, presenting exceptional quality material covering status updates, synthesized data, and action items.
- Experience with working with competing priorities, disparate stakeholders, and vendor management in different milieus.
Compensation for the CDBG-DR Project Manager Includes:
- Salary Range of $88,000-$150,000. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and training, licensure and certifications, internal equity, location, travel requirements, and other business and organizational needs.
