This is a remote position.

OpenLoop is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team as a Clinical Care Advocate!

About the Position

OpenLoop is seeking a Clinical Care Advocate with a strong background in healthcare and customer service to support patients by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns, and ensuring a seamless patient experience. This role involves working across multiple healthcare programs and handling common patient concerns such as medical billing questions, appointment scheduling issues, and general healthcare navigation. The ideal candidate will be comfortable answering incoming calls, providing exceptional customer service, and assisting with inquiries in a friendly and professional manner.


Responsibilities


  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patient inquiries, providing accurate and timely

  • responses via phone, email, or chat.

  • Assist patients with accurate information regarding medical questions, medication

  • tracking, and dosing instructions.

  • Work closely with various programs and clients under OpenLoop to address patient

  • concerns and ensure continuity of care.

  • Utilize technology platforms to document interactions, update patient records, and

  • escalate complex issues as needed.

  • Advocate for patients by proactively identifying and resolving potential barriers to their

  • healthcare access.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including customer support, billing, and clinical staff, to

  • ensure a seamless patient experience.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare regulations, billing practices, and

  • OpenLoop’s services.

  • Other duties as assigned!




Requirements


  • Current CMA certification through a national certification agency (NHA, AAMA, NAHP)

  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, billing procedures, and the ability to read

  • and understand medication prescriptions.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to handle patient

  • concerns with empathy and professionalism.

  • Proficiency with technology platforms, including electronic health records (EHRs),

  • telehealth software, and customer support tools.

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to provide solutions and guidance to

  • patients.

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Experience with GLP-1 weight loss medications. (preferred)

  • Prior experience in a telehealth or digital health setting. (preferred)

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. (preferred)



Benefits
This is a full-time position for 40 hours per week. 

Multiple shifts available!

Some weekend work applicable.

Rate: $21/hr
