Job description

In 2012, Lambda started with a crew of AI engineers publishing research at top machine-learning conferences. We began as an AI company built by AI engineers. That hasn't changed. Today, we're on a mission to be the world's top AI computing platform. We equip engineers with the tools to deploy AI that is fast, secure, affordable, and built to scale. Whether they need powerhouse GPU hardware on-site or the flexibility of cloud-based solutions, we've got the horsepower to make it happen. Lambda’s AI Cloud has been adopted by the world’s leading companies and research institutions including Anyscale, Rakuten, The AI Institute, and multiple enterprises with over a trillion dollars of market capitalization. Our goal is to make computation as effortless and ubiquitous as electricity.

If you'd like to build the world's best deep learning cloud, join us.

*Note: This position requires presence in our San Francisco office location 4 days per week; Lambda’s designated work from home day is currently Tuesday.

As Lambda continues its rapid growth, we are expanding our corporate development function to drive strategic growth initiatives, partnerships, and M&A opportunities.

We are seeking a Corporate Development Associate to play a key role in managing and executing the company’s end-to-end acquisition and strategic investment activities. This high-impact role will collaborate cross-functionally to identify opportunities and execute transactions that support Lambda’s long-term vision.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the identification, evaluation, and execution of M&A, strategic investments, and partnerships to accelerate growth, enhance capabilities, and expand market reach.

  • Lead financial modeling, valuation analysis, and due diligence on potential transactions.

  • Conduct strategic and financial evaluation of M&A and investment opportunities; communicate findings in business case memos and executive presentations.

  • Track industry trends, competitive dynamics, and potential market opportunities to inform corporate development strategy, and keep stakeholders updated on the evolving ecosystem.

  • Develop investment theses and market analyses to support strategic decision-making.

  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships that enhance our product offerings, distribution channels, or technology stack.

You

  • 2-5 years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or venture capital, ideally with a focus on software, AI, cloud infrastructure, and/or enterprise technology.

  • Strong financial modeling, valuation and analytical skills: specifically, experience building merger models, accretion/dilution analysis, and synergy estimation.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to synthesize market data into actionable insights and drive high-impact decisions.

  • Excellent presentation and communication abilities, with experience presenting to executives and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, balancing multiple complex projects.

  • Deep interest in AI, cloud infrastructure, and emerging technology trends—prior experience in the machine learning or GPU computing space is a strong plus.

Based on market data and other factors, the annual salary range for this position is $130,000 - $200,000. However, a salary higher or lower than this range may be appropriate for a candidate whose qualifications differ meaningfully from those listed in the job description.
