DoD SkillBridge Internship: Customer Success Consultant
SkillBridge Host Company: Uptima
SkillBridge Provider: Vets2PM LLC
Location: Remote (per DoD SkillBridge Guidelines)

Customer Success Consultant Overview
The Customer Success Consultant will work closely with our customers and the Uptima Success Team to ensure the success of each project they manage. They will be responsible for working with the Customer to ensure all aspects of the project are completed to the satisfaction of the business and to ensure we minimize churn and find additional revenue.


What a Customer Success Consultant is responsible for:
  • Engagement Oversight
  • Creating Project Records
  • Creating and updating project assignments in internal PSA system
  • Tracking time to allocated budget
  • Resolving or escalating project issues
  • Issuing weekly status reports to the Customer
  • Issuing SF CSAT
  • SLA Governance
  • Release Governance


What is needed to be successful as a Customer Success Consultant:
  • Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment of cross functional and cross vendor teams, and deliver to aggressive timelines.
  • Listens, observes, and reads the room or zoom calls.
  • Adjusts communications and engagement on the fly based on the emotional cadence in a discussion.
  • Instinctually read and react to nonverbal communication.
  • Knows when to pause, stop, or double down.
  • Gauges when they are being listened to and shows others that they are listening.
  • Harnesses empathy and emotional conditions of others to drive outcomes.
  • Multitasking
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to identify revenue streams


Education and experience that may help a Customer Success Consultant be successful:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Consultant
  • Certified Scrum Master Certification
  • Salesforce Admin Certification
  • Salesforce Service Cloud Consultant
  • Salesforce Revenue Cloud Consultant
  • Transferable skills from: Retail, Customer Service, Hospitality

Compensation Target (if hired after internship): Estimated between $70K-$85K per year + 10% bonus potential.

  • PM Fundamentals course, Resume writing, LinkedIn optimization, and interview skills course.  
  • Other free resources, including an electronic copy of 'How to Speak Civilian Fluently'.

Not all internships include certification training by Vets2PM, as many host companies include their own internship-focused training instead.
