About the Team/Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and technically proficient Project & Agile Tooling Systems Engineer to join our Enterprise Technology Services team. In this role, you will be a key technical expert responsible for the architecture, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of critical project and agile management tools used throughout the organization. Your deep understanding of these systems, including Planview, Jira Align, and Aha (or equivalent similar tools), will be essential in ensuring seamless integration, robust performance, and a superior user experience for our project teams and stakeholders.
How you'll make an impact
Tool Administration and Configuration:
Perform day-to-day tool administration, including user management, security administration, data management, and system monitoring
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls within the various tools, ensuring adherence to security policies and best practices.
Configure and maintain system settings, workflows, and customizations to meet evolving business needs.
Ensure the security and compliance of the tools, implementing appropriate access controls, data encryption, and audit trails.
Conduct regular system maintenance activities, including upgrades, patches, and performance optimizations.
System Architecture and Engineering:
Customize and configure solutions to meet evolving business requirements, including forms, workflows, dashboards, reports, custom fields, and integrations.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, escalating critical problems as needed
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze processes, and propose technical solutions.
Develop and implement integrations between tools and other enterprise systems, leveraging APIs and scripting languages
Automation and Scripting
Develop and implement custom reports and dashboards using reporting tools and SQL queries
Utilize scripting languages to automate system maintenance and configuration tasks
Technical Support and Guidance
Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and new features.
Assist in training end users and administrators on system functionalities and best practices.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including configuration architecture, API documentation, troubleshooting guides, and processes to ensure knowledge sharing and transferability.
Experience you'll bring
Experience in a technical role focused on tool administration, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise cloud-based work management tools, including Planview, Jira Align, Aha or equivalent
Proficiency in database concepts and SQL
Experience with API integrations and data migration
Experience with report development and dashboard creation
Knowledge of business intelligence and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) or similar tools
Experience with scripting languages such as Javascript, Python, or Powershell
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
Self directed with a strong sense of ownership in your work
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and business stakeholders
