Job description

Job Summary: 

Greenbox Capital is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Credit Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will evaluate applications for short-term business financing and merchant cash advances (MCAs), conducting thorough financial analysis and risk assessments to determine creditworthiness. You will review and verify bank statements, credit reports, and financial documents, ensuring that all financing offers align with our underwriting policies and guidelines. As a key contributor to our credit team, you will collaborate closely with sales and customer service teams to facilitate a seamless application process. Key Responsibilities: 

  • Evaluate applications for short-term business financing and merchant cash advances (MCAs). 
  • Conduct thorough financial analysis of and risk assessment of applicants. 
  • Review and verify bank statements, financial documents, credit reports.   
  • Determine the creditworthiness of applicants and prepare offers for financing within accordance to the organizations underwriting policies and guidelines 
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure smooth processing of applications. 

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance, accounting, business, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in underwriting or related fields. 
  • Strong understanding of bank statements, transactional analysis, financial statements, credit analysis, and risk assessment. 

 

Skills and Competencies: 

  • Proficiency in financial analysis software and tools (e.g., Excel, underwriting software). 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

 

Performance Metrics: 

  • Accuracy and timeliness of application evaluations. 
  • Achievement of approval rate targets and portfolio performance metrics. 
  • Contribution to team goals and collaboration efforts. 

 

Team and Collaboration: 

  • Work closely with sales, customer service, and other departments to ensure seamless application processing. 

Compensation$60,000-80,000
