We are currently seeking a Brand Market Manager for our Commercial Team and Rigid Packaging Business Unit. This position will be remote in either the US Midwest or the US Northeast. Salary range for this position is $120K-$150K.

Job Purpose:

The Brand Owner and Market Manager provides direction to the Rigid Packaging team to support customers, brand owners and the internal team.  This role will provide market pull by engaging with Brand Owners in the Rigid Packaging market, identifying needs, summarizing Techmer capabilities, and creating projects that will lead to sales.  The Brand Owner and Market Manager will support the Business Director with the development of a strategic plan for the business.  The person will identify trends and provide innovative solutions to this market via creating business plans that support R&D.  The ultimate goal is for the Brand Owner and Market Manager drive sales growth via these activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with Brand Owners, introducing key Techmer personnel to develop relationships at multiple levels.
  • Identify avenues to gain new business by these relationships with Brand Owners and lead internal Techmer teams to closure and sales.
  • Analyzes market trends and distills the data into a communication package that can be used by sales and BU management to discuss with customers.
  • Identifies key competitors and understands how Techmer can be positioned versus these other companies. Provides a clear unique customer value proposition to sales.
  • Identifies key technology trends that will impact customers’ and their customers’ markets, processing, applications, pricing, regulatory environments, etc.
  • Works with technical team to develop communication materials that shows customers the technical and commercial value created by Techmer technologies.
  • Responsible for reaching the goals of the Techmer strategic plan for their respective target market area; tracks the implementation of the strategy, including specific project achievements, financial goals and pipeline development.
  • Accountable for specific trade shows deliverables, booth setup and materials, coordination of attendees, booking event space, internal and external communications, tracking of leads, reporting results from the shows.
  • Track leads and provide leadership to the sales team for the opportunities that come to Techmer from a variety of sources, including web inquiries, emails, trade shows, etc.
