The Product Marketing Manager (PMM) serves as a bridge between the product and growth teams, ensuring successful go-to-market (GTM) strategies and product adoption. As a vital marketing team member, the PMM frequently communicates about upcoming product features, functionality, new releases, and related communications with the product team. 

When new GTM segments are introduced, the PMM takes the lead by becoming a subject matter expert on the product being launched. They are responsible for creating the GTM campaign brief and collaborating with the marketing team to implement tactics and develop sales enablement materials. Additionally, the PMM leads the development of key messaging and positioning guides that shape the overarching marketing strategy. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a keen attention to detail and the ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively. 

 

What You’ll Do: 
 

  • Establishes the foundational positioning, messaging, and value propositions that inform sales enablement materials, including drafting relevant sections 

  • The main point of contact for assigned products or business lines, responsible for consistent communication and meeting cadences with the product and sales teams 

  • Stays informed about market trends, understands key competitors, and serves as the primary source of competitive intelligence, enhancing their knowledge of assigned product lines 

  • Creates the go-to-market brief for new features and products, ensuring all key marketing materials – including the website, sales enablement documents, videos, etc. – are updated as necessary 

  • Understands our core buyer personas, their purchasing motivations, and the optimal channels for engagement, and communicates guidance to the growth marketing team 

  • Oversees updates to the product roadmap and ensures effective communication with all relevant stakeholders 

  • Collaborates with the product team to gather "voice of customer" feedback and uses it to shape business plans for new markets, products, features, and functionalities 

  • Makes recommendations on tactics such as email, social media, PPC, direct mail, webinars, and other strategies for marketing promotions that effectively drive lead volume and sales revenue 

  • Writes blog posts on product and feature functionality, creates one-pagers, technical website pages, and other long-form content as the subject matter expert 

  • Acts as the primary source of truth for product metrics and monitors customer satisfaction alongside the product team 

  • Coordinates the standard operating procedures (SOP) for all communications related to products, including maintenance updates, release notes, hotfixes, and incidents 

  • Manages the reference, learning, and training materials for product, feature, and functionality launches, ensuring they remain up-to-date 

  • Implements consistent and accurate messaging in product demos. As the product marketing subject matter expert, ensure all materials reflect new developments accurately 

  • Nurtures relationships with customers and clients, arranging on-site visits with the product team where appropriate 

  • Provides technical, product-focused responses for Requests for Proposals (RFPs). 

What You’ll Bring: 

  • 5+ years of experience in product, marketing and sales, ideally with a focus on product marketing 

  • Strong expertise in positioning, messaging, competitive analysis, and sales enablement 

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and proficiency in marketing automation solutions such as Salesforce, Hubspot, PowerBI, Data Warehouses, etc. 

  • Ability to work independently and with a results-driven mindset to achieve set goals in a fast-paced environment 

  • Comfortable leading cross-functional teams (e.g., sales, marketing, product, support, operations, etc.) with a demonstrated ability to get team members on board 

  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills  

  • Ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple competing priorities  

  • Impeccable organizational and planning skills with excellent attention to detail 

  • Ability to be flexible and have a high comfort level with ambiguity 

  • Open to travel for team meetings and industry events 

  • Industry knowledge of healthcare and/or SaaS solutions is essential 

  • Public speaking and presentation skills are preferred
