Job purpose:

The Digital Media Strategist plays a critical role in developing and presenting client-facing media strategies, while also educating both clients and internal teams. As a key link between media operations and clients, this role requires the ability to communicate confidently and effectively regarding strategic recommendations, actionable next steps, and client needs.


Key responsibilities include developing strategic media plans, attending internal and client meetings, presenting digital media strategies, and fielding strategy-related inquiries. The strategist will also analyze digital media program performance, provide insights, suggest optimizations, and adjust media plans accordingly.


Additionally, the strategist is responsible for aggregating and analyzing data from multiple sources, creating polished, client-facing reports, and ensuring a deep understanding of all metrics to effectively address client concerns. While media operations handle post-campaign reporting, the Digital Media Strategist will refine and interpret insights to drive ongoing media success.


Job details: 

  • Location: 100% Remote - Open to candidates based in Central AmericaMexico, or Colombia.
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CR Time Zone
  • Job Type: Full-Time Employment
  • Language Proficiency: Spanish: Native / English: C1 reading, writing, and conversation
  • Availability: Immediate availability preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand and align with client marketing and fundraising goals to develop tailored media strategies.
  • Knowledgeable regarding all facets of RKD Digital, including heavy search, social, and display.
  • Develop comprehensive digital media plans that align with client objectives.
  • Create detailed digital media strategy briefs to be integrated into broader client strategy documents.
  • Participate in client meetings to present and answer questions related to digital strategies including:
    • Media plans.
    • Strategy briefs.
    • Expansion and growth opportunities.
  • Monitor and analyze client media performance, evaluating strategy effectiveness and recommending optimizations to meet program goals.

Required Academic Background:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience in digital direct response media within an agency environment.
  • Experience developing digital media strategies is preferred.
  • Strong planning, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to develop data-driven client strategies while maximizing internal resources.
  • Ability to problem-solve efficiently, deliver confident and persuasive presentations, and maintain a strong customer focus.
  • Experience with the following digital media channels:
    • Programmatic Display
    • Paid Search
    • Facebook / Instagram
    • Connected TV
    • Video
    • Programmatic Audio
    • Native Advertising
  • Ability to identify and leverage new digital media trends and technologies in client strategies.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
