Job description

Chooose builds software to enable the lower carbon fuel value chains in hard-to-abate sectors.

Companies like Alaska Airlines, Air Canada, Delta Air Lines, and Flexport use the Chooose platform to build, operate and scale their SAF programs, and to advance voluntary and compliance carbon initiatives.

With offices in Oslo and Miami, and remote employees across the US and Europe, we are a mission-oriented team that is scaling our business and climate impact in tandem. The company has raised $50M from leading venture capital and strategic investors.

As the first commercial hire for APAC, you’ll drive how Chooose goes to market in the region.

What you'll do
  • Operate as the senior commercial account lead for Chooose's existing enterprise customers in the APAC region, partnering with the Chooose Customer Operations team to fine-tune how we enable these customers to build successful decarbonization programs on the Chooose platform. 
  • Formulate and execute a plan for continued commercial growth in APAC. You'll identify, sell and sign keystone customers in the shipping, aviation, and other logistics sectors.
  • Continually educate yourself on the carbon-related requirements and market trends impacting our customers and deliver an advisory-drive sales process.
  • Work closely with the Chooose senior management team to shape the resourcing strategy for consistent growth in the APAC region.
  • Maintain a balanced approach and multiple perspectives - enable commercial growth while always considering Chooose's commitment to long-term, high-integrity climate action.

  • 10+ years of demonstrated success in executing technical business development processes and bringing new software products to market.
  • You’re ambitious; you take immediate ownership of the APAC region, aiming to grow it into a primary market for Chooose.
  • You're naturally curious and passionate about climate change, and you understand how software can make a difference.  
  • You don’t wait for anyone else to solve problems, you take initiative and get things done. 
  • You're willing to be flexible with your work hours to support your colleagues and accommodate our global customers. Open to frequent travel, often at short notice.
  • You have superior verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Experience in the shipping, aviation, heavy transport, or trading industries is highly valued.
  • Open to candidates with a Singapore work permit.
  • The interview process

    At Chooose, we prioritize transparency throughout our interview process. If your qualifications look like a fit, we’ll begin with 1-2 introductory conversations where you'll have the chance to discuss your experience and learn more about our company. The second phase varies depending on the role and will involve a practical exercise for you to show your work. You’ll receive written instructions for the exercise in advance, and we’ll then schedule a time to discuss. The third and final phase consists of a one-on-one conversation with a member of our executive team. The process should take approx. 3-4 weeks. While we strive to keep to this timeline, the occasional adjustment may occur; we’re focused on ensuring for enough time to get to know one another.
