Reporting to the Manager of Business Development, the Business Development Representative (BDR) works closely with the entire Sales and Marketing teams and is responsible for generating and qualifying new business opportunities with prospective clients.  As the first point of contact for potential customers, enthusiasm for the Axonify platform and the ability to share relevant customer success stories is essential in every interaction created.  Using a defined list of ideal customers within your target industry/industries, the BDR introduces Axonify to prospective clients to source and qualify high-quality sales opportunities.

The impact you'll have:
  • Connect with prospective clients, asking questions, understanding their needs and clearly communicating the Axonify brand.
  • Contribute to our company's goals by sourcing and qualifying opportunities for the sales team.
  • Constantly hit your monthly and annual quota and contribute opportunities to Axonify’s sales funnel.
  • Gain a deep understanding of our customer base in order to share relevant success stories with prospective clients.
  • Plunge headfirst into your owned industries researching key trends to understand pain points, speak the industry “vernacular”, build and nurture trusted relationships with contacts and generate awareness of Axonify with prospects.
  • Gain an excessive understanding of the Axonify platform and our amazing client testimonies and use this information to engage prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with our internal gurus, mentors and team members on marketing campaigns, such as trade shows, webinars, website visits, and referral inquiries.
  • Collaborate with the demand gen team to understand campaign messaging, offers, and segments to develop outreach strategies and to support the success of marketing campaigns
  • Support campaign optimization by delivering insights and proactively participating in a feedback loop
  • Use the latest sales and marketing tools and modern social media approaches to connect with strategically determined accounts.
  • Nurture contacts and accounts in your name so when the timing is right you can revisit conversations.
  • Work alongside product marketing and demand generation teams to ensure your industry and specific campaigns goals are met.
  • Qualify Opportunities in Salesforce using MEDDPICC methodology.

  • What you'll bring:
  • Experience in a sales environment or a desire to be exceptional at prospecting sales opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of business and sales, pipeline building and management gained through post-secondary education, experience or a combination of both. 
  • Driven to meet daily activity targets and SLA’s with our Marketing and Sales teams. The desire to learn from others and to meet deadlines with ambition and energy.
  • Excel at building long-term customer relationships, great interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence. Confidence to converse with senior decision-makers.
  • Comfort learning new tools – including CRM systems like Salesforce and more. A passion to learn and use the Axonify platform and target specific market segments.
  • A creative mindset to build solutions, energize others with passion, and encourage quality and commitment. A natural ability to effectively communicate over the phone, email or other forums that demonstrate your positivity, creativity, and purpose.
  • Confidence to converse with senior decision makers
