Job description

The Role


The Supply Chain Inventory Analyst will be responsible for analyzing inventory for all MaryRuth’s SKUs across each of our 3PLs on a daily and weekly basis. This role will compare forecasts vs. actuals, flag variances and concerns, and regularly communicate updates, insights, and recommendations to the Supply Chain Planning Team. This role will report to the Sr. Forecast & Demand Planner to support effective inventory management and assist in reaching departmental goals. This is a temporary (3-month), hourly, non-exempt, full-time (40h/week), remote position. This role will work in a US time zone. The compensation range for this position is $10-11 USD/hour.


Responsibilities


  • Analyze MaryRuth’s inventory to compare forecasts vs. actuals as they relate to product stock.
  • Examine inventory data in each of MaryRuth’s 3PLs to look for and note any discrepancies, inconsistencies, or areas of possible concern.
  • Monitor inventory and product levels for eCommerce and brick-and-mortar Sales & Retail.
  • Determine possible factors in inventory variances and provide recommendations to the Planning Team on resolving and preventing related issues.
  • Communicate additional insights to the Planning Team regarding inventory forecasting and analysis strategies or best practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Some travel (<5%) may be required on an as needed basis, with advance notice provided to the employee.


Qualifications


  • 2-3+ years of experience in Supply Chain required.
  • Inventory experience in a CPG company strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional Excel skills required; overall proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to convey insights and recommendations; excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • WMS and ERP experience strongly preferred.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, ability to maintain this in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptable, able to leverage creative problem-solving.


Physical Requirements:


  • Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
  • This role involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
