Summary
Nijhuis Saur Industries is actively seeking a Senior/Principal Process Engineer for full-time employment within its UK & Ireland division, reporting into our Head of Process. The individual will work closely with other engineering and technical departments to ensure we meet business and customer expectations.
Job Description
The responsibilities of this position include:
Design of multi-disciplinary municipal water projects including reviewing engineering design calculations in support of design packages.
Preparation of conceptual process engineering design deliverables for tenders and studies.
Process engineering design development based on Nijhuis Saur Industries design guidelines, providing cost-effective solutions, ensuring technical compliance with client requirements.
Participating in HAZOP studies, and design reviews.
Interdepartmental liaison with mechanical/piping, draughting, civil/structural, electrical and control systems engineering to assist with bid/tenders.
Prepare detailed contract specifications including equipment selection and liaison with equipment suppliers and vendors.
The ability to work independently on projects ensuring delivery to scope, time, budget, and quality requirement.
Conduct planning studies, model, and hydraulic / treatment calculations.
Provide technical leadership to contractors to ensure clients quality requirements are met by demonstrating creativity, foresight, and engineering expertise.
Ability to work successfully with experts in multiple disciplines with a range of approaches.
Consistently deliver on each project to achieve industry benchmarks for quality and overall project delivery.
Effectively maintain and develop healthy client relationship throughout the project execution and close-out.
Comfortable managing and prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines.
Ensure Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) policy is adequately implemented.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering, or equivalent.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience within water treatment.
Experience in a technical/design/project role with multi-discipline design teams on moderate to complex projects.
The ability to work independently on projects ensuring delivery to scope, time, budget and quality requirement.
Proven track record in delivering outputs to tight timeframes and within fixed budgets.
Enthusiasm to solve problems and enjoy working as part of a multi-national company.
Worked within multi-disciplinary teams, co-ordinating and supporting other staff.
Enthusiasm to line manage.
