We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with a strong background in system automation to join our dynamic team. As an Individual Contributor, you will be responsible for managing and delivering IT projects focused on automation solutions. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including IT teams, business units, and external vendors, to ensure successful project execution and alignment with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Management:
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders, with a specific focus on automation projects.
Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
Monitor and track project progress, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets.
System Automation Implementation:
Lead the implementation of system automation projects, ensuring alignment with business processes and objectives.
Identify opportunities for automation and optimization within existing systems and processes.
Collaborate with IT and business teams to design and deploy automation solutions.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, facilitating communication and managing expectations.
Conduct regular status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders, including senior management.
Address and resolve issues and conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle.
Risk Management:
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
Develop and implement risk management plans to minimize potential impact on project success.
Resource Coordination:
Coordinate with internal IT teams, business units, and external vendors to secure necessary resources.
Ensure efficient utilization of resources and manage resource constraints effectively.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and comply with organizational policies and regulations.
Conduct post-project evaluations and identify areas for improvement.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes.
Provide regular project reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and issues.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, with a proven track record of successfully managing and delivering projects.
Extensive experience in system automation, including implementation and optimization of automation solutions.
Skills And Competencies
Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Trello).
Expertise in automation tools and technologies (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Jenkins).
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Certifications
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferred.
Agile/Scrum certifications are a plus.
Relevant automation certifications (e.g., Certified Ansible Automation Engineer, Puppet Certified Professional) are a plus.
Work Environment
This role is primarily WFH, with occasional onsite meetings as required.
Flexibility to work outside regular business hours may be necessary based on project needs.
