Job description

Overview:

LMI is seeking a Scrum Master for the OUSD(R&E) SMART Scholarship-for-Service Program. The ideal candidate will have experience leading teams of software developers and testers. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to contribute to educational and workforce development for the Department of Defense.

Responsibilities:
  1. Reports to the SMART Project IT Lead and is the main interface between the SMART IT Lead and the Scrum Team (Developers and Testers).
  2. Collaborates with client, product owners, and LMI PM to ensure alignment and prioritize functionality
  3. Leads Scrum Ceremonies (Daily Standup, Backlog Grooming Meetings, Pointing Sessions, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Highlight Review Meetings, Sprint Retrospectives, and facilitates requirements gathering)
  4. Facilitates interaction and appropriate communication between scrum team, and supporting groups
  5. Tracks Sprint Issues Status during Sprint to include monitoring issue progression through the LMI Agile Software Development Process and identifying any special resources needed.
  6. Partners with the PM, and IT Lead, to define and understand a set of program performance metrics for use as an indicator of overall program health. Collects and reports metrics on a regular basis.
  7. Supports resource discussions and personnel assignments
  8. Supports Operations throughout all scholarship cycles
  9. Documents Technical Meeting Notes and Distributes
  10. Monitors program progress and eliminates choke points
  11. Helps development team maintain agility, focuses on team and individual development, and achieves continuous improvement.
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:  3 years of professional experience with an emphasis on Agile development and scrum.

 

Required Experience with the following:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or another related field
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively
  • Strong familiarity with project management methodologies
  • Project life cycle management experience
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Clearance: None 

 

Additional Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with Service Now development and integration.
  • Experience using agile project management tools like JIRA
  • Agile certifications (Scrum, SAFe, IcAgile)  

 

Target salary range: $95,000-140,000
