Job description

This is a remote, home-based internship. Full time students from all US geographies will be considered. Our 2025 Summer internship program is an 8-week Paid Internship that runs from June 2nd – July 25th, at 37.5 hours weekly. The program will join interns across the country who are supporting different department focuses on American Cancer Society and ACS's Cancer Action Network. 80% of the time will be in working within the given department, with the Intern's manager, their mentor, and the team. The other 20% will be with a cohort of other interns around American Cancer Society and ACS CAN.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Talent Management Intern to support our team member engagement initiatives. In this role, you will assist with the execution of key projects aimed at enhancing engagement across the organization. Reporting to the Program Manager of Talent Management, you will play a pivotal role in supporting various initiatives, including the administration of people systems and processes, development of program materials, and contributing to the redesign of our engagement strategies.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the discovery stage of ongoing projects, including scheduling focus groups, gathering feedback, and analyzing results to inform decision-making.
  • Serve as the administrator for our rewards and recognition portal, ensuring the proper allocation of points across different pillars and addressing any system-related issues.
  • Review Engagement and Onboarding Survey Data, Identify Trends, and Build Recommendations for Action Planning initiatives the people team can leverage to impact current programs and processes
  • Research Reward and Recognition Programs and platforms and help build proposal for Reward and Recognition strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Program Manager to revamp the rewards and recognition program, including gathering stakeholder feedback and helping design new processes.
  • Create and maintain materials for key initiatives, including PowerPoint presentations, FAQs, and other supporting documents.
  • Assist in the design, pilot, and launch of exit survey to aid in talent lifecycle listening strategies and data capture tactics.
  • Partner with benefits, compensation, communication, and other key stakeholders to launch creative recognition campaigns.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Must be available for entirety of 8-week program: June 2 – July 25, 2025, at 37.5 hours per week.
  • Full-time student, if you are an undergraduate student, you have completed your freshman year of college.
  • Have a minimum of a B average (cumulative 3.0 on 4.0 scale).
  • Plan to continue your education in the following term/semester.
  • Upload a resume upon application submission.
  • Note: an internship assignment may coincide with your last term/trimester as a full-time student, but the internship must be disengaged upon graduation.

The rate for this position is $17/hour. The final candidate's relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended. Actual starting pay will vary based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
