General Purpose:
As a communications advisor, you will contribute to the FTA of the IDL by publicising each of the activities carried out by the area, each sentence, each court hearing, each report, each article, each document, each pronouncement, depending on their importance.
In this role you will:
Coordinate with IDL's communications department to publicise activities in the official media. And to lobby with alternative and mass media in Peru and with foreign press correspondents in Peru. You will prepare press releases, take or obtain photographs and videos, write articles and disseminate them on the department's social networks and different media, if necessary.
Translate press releases, articles, communiqués and other communication products into English for dissemination to international media and networks of activists, NGOs and other solidarity groups and IDL allies.
Broadcast press conferences, forums and other events on IDL's Facebook Live and/or other virtual broadcasting channels. You will participate in all the meetings in the area and coordinate with each of the members of the area, both those who work in Lima and those who work in the provinces.
The position is in the city of Lima, the capital of Peru, where you will work with a committed, multidisciplinary team that closely monitors public policies on issues relevant to the country, such as human rights, justice, security, the environment and indigenous peoples.

Project - Sharing Canadian Expertise for Inclusive Development and Gender Equality (SHARE)
Cuso International will deliver the Sharing Canadian Expertise for Inclusive Development and Gender Equality (SHARE) project, with a contribution from Global Affairs Canada (GAC) over seven years (2020-2027). SHARE aims to improve the economic and/or social well-being of the poorest, most marginalized and vulnerable people, particularly women and girls, in developing countries, to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals. In addition to increasing the engagement of Canadians in international development and key global issues, this project will aim to increase the performance of country partners to deliver more inclusive, innovative and environmentally sustainable development initiatives that advance gender equality, in support of the action areas of Canada’s Feminist International Assistance Policy.
