Job description

TECHNICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST POSITION - Freelancer

This contract role is an ongoing project where you could be required to do freelance work for a day, week or month at a time across the next few years.


This role is for a freelancer or someone who has the ability to work sporadically.


Responsibilities


  • Perform network troubleshooting and installing upgrades.
  • Provide on-site technical support and collaborate with client site contacts, tech support services as required.
  • Operate and maintain equipment during field dispatches.
  • Install/swap out network equipment including switches and routers.
  • Provide support progress updates to managers as and when needed.
  • Can handle low complexity installs, moves, repairs, uninstalls, site survey, triage, vendor escort, rack and stack equipment.
  • Install, terminate, label and test cabling related to telecom circuit demarcation extensions.
  • Monitor and maintain client systems to ensure peak performance and stability.
  • Partner with internal teams and external vendors to resolve issues quickly and maintain service continuity.
  • Can read blueprints and drawings.
  • Ability to place, connect and activate telephone devices.
  • Able to life equipment weighing over 75 lbs.
