• Management of the general accounting function: drafting and implementation of accounting procedures; support in implementation of the accounting system.
• You're knowledgeable in implementing and executing controls and animating the monthly closing process.
• Proven ability to manage and navigate the different accounting laws; Nigeria, UEMOA, Ghana, etc.
• Providing financial analysis and reports on key performance indicators to support the company’s decision-making process.
• Ability to head and improve the drafting and update of the company’s budget ans provide monthly and quarterly reporting to invest.
• Identifying when and how the company can optimize their assets and investments.
• Working with department heads to figure out each department’s likely revenue and expenses over the next several years.
• Management of the company’s financial audit.
• Management of key external stakeholders: auditors, bank, tax authorities.
• You have 3 to 5 years of experience managing and understanding the accounting & tax structures of different African countries.
• You are able to understand the African ecosystem.
• You have a solid command of the IFRS for SME.
• You know how to implement accounting procedures in an early stage environment or equivalent.
• You have a design thinking mindset helping you to approach problems in different ways.
• You have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills dealing as well with junior team members than with the senior leadership team.
• You master Microsoft Excel (Power query), Power Point & Power BI.
• You are bilingual; French and English
Remotely. Work from your home or wherever. As long as you have a good and fast internet. Iteratively.
Collaboratively. Weekly AHOM, written weekly, quick biweekly video status meetings. Basecamp and Trello managed projects. We work as a team to help make our product better.
