Job description

At Evenbound, we exist to empower our clients and our team members to reach their full potential as we create and grow end-to-end solutions on HubSpot. We are a growth marketing agency, specializing in HubSpot, digital transformation, and marketing strategy. Our ideal clients are B2B industrial and manufacturing companies who want to update and improve their revenue operations systems. We commonly execute HubSpot CRM implementations & onboardings, HubSpot CMS website projects, and Team-as-a-Service retainers for our clients.

What You’ll Do

As our technical leader, the HubSpot CRM Technical Project Lead plays a critical role in leading the implementation, optimization, and management of HubSpot-related projects. Both our internal team members and our clients will rely on you to bridge the gap between business goals and technical execution, ensuring seamless system integrations, automation, and custom development of HubSpot solutions. You’ll be a strategic people leader who can build, develop, and empower a productive HubSpot team. You will be client-facing, running calls, and keeping projects on track. This role activates both leading others and using your technical knowledge to complete work. You will lead by example to exemplify our Core Values and Vision.

Responsibilities:

As the HubSpot CRM Technical Project Lead, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the HubSpot team (4-5), overseeing their daily activities, performance, and professional development. Also be a HubSpot expert to our full team.
  • Technical Leadership: Oversee HubSpot implementations and optimizations, including setup, configuration, and customization based on client specifications. Lead the technical integration of HubSpot with other business systems, ensuring a seamless data flow and integration, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and providing ongoing support and optimization for clients’ HubSpot environments.
  • Client Interfacing: Lead client calls as the main point of contact for projects and be responsible for prompt communication to clients on project status updates.
  • Project Management: Plan, execute, and oversee multiple HubSpot-related projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget while maintaining thoughtful project documentation, timelines, and status updates for stakeholders.
  • Impeccable Communication: Articulate direction clearly, collaborate, brainstorm, consider multiple perspectives, and work with different communication styles to lead thoughtful and impactful business conversations.
  • Training & Documentation: Provide training to client teams on HubSpot functionalities, empowering them to utilize the platform effectively. Document integrations in plain language, create data maps, and build ERDs in LucidChart.
  • Sales Support & Scoping: Join sales calls to gather detailed requirements and translate them into technical solutions with accurate budget estimates that drive measurable business results. Collaborate closely with our strategic partners to develop and execute growth strategies that help clients achieve their business goals. Also, as projects grow, be able to upsell projects into a secondary scope or a retainer model.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

Experienced people manager who has led and grown teams
  • 3+ years working in an agency setting preferred
  • 5+ years of experience managing HubSpot CRM projects (implementations, onboarding, integrations, etc)
  • Strong project management experience with the ability to utilize a project management and time tracking tool, such as ClickUp (our platform of choice) to drive resource allocation
  • Experience integrating HubSpot with other business tools using APIs, Zapier, or other middleware solutions.
  • Experience in a client-facing role presenting solutions and design, talking through project-related timelines, work-back schedules, and scopes of work
  • Familiarity with managing project-related freelancers and ensuring vendor quotes align with project budgets
  • Impeccable communication skills, including the ability to articulate the fine art of saying ‘no’
  • Excel in setting expectations with clients and having difficult conversations

Work where you want, when you want. At Evenbound, we believe we work best when we set our own productive schedules. That flexibility extends to where we work, too. While we have an office in downtown Grand Haven that we love, our team is distributed and works remotely (you are welcome to visit the office anytime). There's no weekly "in the office" quota to meet — we work to get work done, however that works for you.

Regular team meet-ups. Since the Evenbound team is primarily remote, we work hard to schedule team meet-up opportunities when we can. From camping to ski trips to industry conferences, we believe that hanging out in person makes our team stronger, helping to build real relationships in a virtual world.

Our Tech Stack

We don’t expect everyone to have experience with the technology that we use, but if you do, we certainly want to know about it. Here is a basic list of technologies we use:

  • HubSpot CRM
  • G Suite
  • Google Drive
  • Google Ads
  • Google Analytics
  • Slack
  • ClickUp
  • PandaDoc
  • LucidChart
  • Zoom
  • Fathom
  • ChatGPT

Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, + Belonging

Evenbound’s mission — our reason for existing — is to empower our clients + team members to reach their full potential. To us, that means every single person on and engaging with our team has the right to feel they belong in an inclusive, equitable, and diverse work experience.

We’re committed to learning and growing. We acknowledge there’s a lot of space to learn, grow, and support the areas of DEIB, both now and in the future. We understand the responsibility we have to elevate underrepresented voices, to take an active role in promoting equity and belonging, and to always seek opportunities to create more inclusive ways for all individuals to be able to show up authentically just as they are.
