JOB TITLE: Bookkeeper

RATE: Php 238.10 per hour (Php 40k per month)

Work Type: Remote|Fulltime

Working Hours : 

  • Start at 12:00 PM or 01:00 PM AZ time (3AM/ 4AM MNL time), will eventually be flexible

  • Shifts could sometimes overlap with client meetings

  • Days off: Saturday and Sunday

Start Date: ASAP


JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced full-time Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing daily financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software to support the company’s financial health and reporting needs.

JOB ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Compliance & Regulations

  • Evaluate new client information, processes, and accounting practices and determine where processes need revision

  • Establish an accounting interface for new clients in the QuickBooks system

  • Provide customer service excellence to small business owner clients

  • Meet all end-of-month accounting deadlines

Financial Record Management:


  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring financial data accuracy.

  • Maintain records of financial transactions by establishing accounts and posting transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.

  • Record journal entries and adjustments for accurate financial transactions.

  • Maintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and reconciled

  • Reconcile bank statements and other company accounts regularly to ensure accuracy.

  • Maintain historical records by filing documents

Accounts Payable and Receivable Management:

  • Process invoices, track payments, and manage vendor relationships.

  • Ensure timely collection of receivables and accurate payment of obligations.

  • Reconcile payments with outstanding invoices and resolve discrepancies.

Payroll Processing:

  • Manage payroll for employees, including tax withholdings and benefits deductions.

  • Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and reporting requirements.

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.

  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts as needed.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with accountants, auditors, and management to provide financial insights.

  • Support audits by providing accurate documentation and reports.

  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Preferred Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or in a related field is preferred. 

  • 2+ years of experience with end-to-end bookkeeping, including reconciliations and financial report reviews

  • Advanced QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop, Excel, and Google Suite user who enjoys learning new technology and using it to full functionality

  • Understands month-end close procedures

  • Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and organizational structure

  • Strong analytical skills for preparing financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, forecasts and financial modeling.

  • Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas is preferred
