Who You Are:

Jolera is currently seeking a highly accomplished and experienced Senior Voice Communications Engineer to assume a pivotal role in the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of our intricate voice communication infrastructure. This role demands a seasoned professional capable of ensuring the delivery of seamless and reliable communication services across our expansive organization. The ideal candidate will possess a deep and demonstrable expertise in Microsoft Teams Voice, the complex integration of Session Border Controllers (SBCs) from leading vendors such as AudioCodes and Ribbon, and the comprehensive administration of Avaya VoIP systems. As a key member of our team, you will be instrumental in optimizing our voice infrastructure for peak performance, robust security, and unparalleled scalability. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead and innovate in a dynamic, global environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Design, implement, and manage advanced Microsoft Teams Voice solutions, ensuring resilient integration with AudioCodes and Ribbon SBCs, developing scalable voice architectures aligned with organizational needs;
  • Administer and optimize Avaya VoIP systems through setup, configuration, maintenance, upgrades, and advanced troubleshooting, implementing disaster recovery plans;
  • Expertly configure, manage, and troubleshoot AudioCodes and Ribbon SBCs for secure and efficient voice routing, enforcing security policies and optimizing performance;
  • Collaborate with network engineers, IT support, and vendors to assess and implement voice requirements, provide technical leadership, and communicate complex concepts;
  • Implement continuous performance monitoring, analyze metrics using advanced tools (Wireshark, VoIP monitoring software), and optimize system reliability
  • Develop comprehensive documentation for voice systems, conduct training sessions for end-users and internal teams;
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends, recommend and implement innovative solutions to enhance system performance, security, and scalability.


Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in voice engineering, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Teams Voice, Avaya VoIP systems, and SBC management.
  • Expert-level knowledge of VoIP protocols and technologies (SIP, RTP, QoS).
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams Voice, Avaya VoIP systems, AudioCodes, and Ribbon SBCs.
  • Proficiency in network infrastructure concepts and components related to voice services (routers, switches, firewalls).
  • Proven experience with voice and network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.


Preferred Hands-On Experience:

  • Relevant industry certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Teams Voice Engineer and Avaya Certified Implementation Specialist.
  • Experience with cloud-based voice solutions and integrations.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages, such as PowerShell.
