Job description

Creating original and innovative luxury soft toys, Jellycat combines luxurious fabrics with quirky and cute designs and sells its products online and via stockists throughout the UK, Europe and the rest of the world.

Reporting directly into the Head of European Sales, you will take full ownership of the territory, focusing on growing the Jellycat Germany, Austria and Switzerland markets – strategically in luxury and premium channels. Building the brand in the right way, for the long-term future. Managing a team of Account Managers and Account Administrators, your aim is to drive sales alongside agents in specific regions. You will develop a market growth strategy, maximising sales in existing accounts (a combination of independent and house accounts), identifying new business opportunities, succession planning and most importantly ensuring the team and agents are highly engaged.

This role will be based remotely in Germany with a requirement to travel across your region and visit the London headquarters regularly.

You'll be;

  • Developing and executing the annual growth strategy alongside the Head of European Sales
  • Presenting strategy progress back to the Head of European Sales as well as team performance and any other developments
  • Seasonal product forecasting
  • Setting and reviewing the annual budget for your regions in line with the Head of European Sales’ total budget plan
  • Developing, mentoring, training, reviewing and recruiting for your team using effective and motivational leadership
  • Setting key objectives/targets for your team and agents.
  • Identifying business opportunities and grow the markets using a strategic approach
  • Tradeshow planning
  • In-country seasonal launch conference
  • Applying commercial awareness to make ‘brand-appropriate’ supply decisions for new accounts
  • Managing and supporting your team, ensure smooth communication and harmony
  • Working with our customer service team, produce timely order input and deliveries as well as clear communication to customers
  • Liaising with credit control for financial matters
  • Working closely with the logistics team to guarantee orders are accurate and delivered efficiently
  • Conducting regular meetings to discuss reporting and MI. All information pertaining to the accounts, including running agent weekly and monthly sales analysis
  • Ensuring Jellycat are all the right points of distribution that align with the brand luxury and premium positioning

You'll have;

  • Fluency in both German and English, written and spoken
  • Understanding and appreciation of premium/luxury brand positioning
  • Previous experience at a senior level within or leading a sales and account management team
  • Proven experience leading a small-mid size team
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, focusing on clear and concise communication and ensuring the best results for your remit
  • Track record of establishing growth in German, Austrian and Swiss markets and building strategic Go-To-Markets.
  • A personable and positive approach, with demonstrable experience maximising sales through professional relationships
  • An understanding of the 'Jellycat' tone and communication style associated with our brand
  • Confident in making commercial decisions, happy to take direction from more senior team members when needed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
