Job Description

The Medical Representative role demands a multifaceted professional who can seamlessly transition from traditional sales tactics to a sophisticated account management approach. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership and business ownership skills. Be a strategic thinker, able to articulate the unique value proposition of our innovative products, identify critical care gaps, and enhance healthcare professionals' understanding through targeted education and insightful engagement.

Temporary Position (Maternity Leave Replacement)- South Territory

UNDERSTAND: Understands the healthcare marketplace; the payer environment; customer (account and stakeholder) priorities; patient, product and monetary flows; patient disease states and therapeutic options; and Lilly resources, processes, policies and procedures

PLAN: Analyzes patient, product and monetary flows; prioritizes opportunities; build territory and account plans; and secures needed resources.

EXECUTE: Executes territory and account plans; achieves territory and account plan goals and completes actions on a timely basis; and regularly assesses and adjusts plans as needed.

Your mission will be to bridge the gap between patient needs and our cutting-edge solutions, ultimately improving patient outcomes through a value-driven, consultative sales approach. You will deliver improved outcomes for patients through easy interactions that enable customers to feel they are genuinely cared for and able to trust you & Lilly.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building and nurturing strong relationships with healthcare providers, driving product adoption, and contributing to the overall growth and success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Territory Strategy Development

Define and implement a territory-specific plan that is rooted in a comprehensive understanding of customer priorities, local market trends, trade-off decisions utilizing relevant data and resources and healthcare dynamics. Assess results and adjusts strategy to maximize future impact.

  • Value Proposition Communication
    • Champion the value proposition of our product, ensuring that the unique benefits and differentiators are communicated effectively to HCP’s. Consistently delivering an impactful dialog
  • Care Gap Identification and Mitigation
    • Explore and then clearly articulates the unmet need within the HCP community and develop targeted strategies to address these, thereby optimizing patient care pathways.
  • Sales Objective Achievement
    • Fully utilizes an omnichannel approach to meet the needs of customers and drive results Achieve and exceed sales objectives through a mix of personalized, face-to-face engagements, virtual outreach, and innovative digital tactics.
  • Clinical Expertise
    • Exhibit a detailed and deep understanding of disease states, our treatment regimens, the marketplace and the competitive landscape to support HCP decision-making.
  • Account Strategy Execution
    • Craft and execute account strategies that facilitate adoption of our products, Identifying and engaging thought leaders, influencers and resources, working with cross-functional teams, including Marketing and Medical colleagues, to deliver tailored customer solutions.
  • Compliance and Ethics
    • Meet all expectations following E&C guidance.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proven expertise in engaging in a valuable dialogue delivering an impactful compelling product presentation and managing sophisticated sales conversations with HCP’s. Customer service orientation
  • A demonstrated track record of strategic account management, with the ability to pinpoint and seize business growth prioritize opportunities within a competitive pharmaceutical landscape.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, critical for managing stakeholder relationships and advancing business goals.
  • Collaborative spirit, working cohesively with internal teams to expand reach and generate impact. Collaborates effectively with external business partners.
  • Personal accountability and flexibility, reflecting the agility to navigate complex market conditions and respond to emerging trends and needs.
  • Exhibits strong leadership and business ownership skills.
  • Capability to manage a product portfolio, adaptable to various disease states and therapeutic areas.
  • Solid foundation in pharmaceutical sales, including familiarity with sales metrics and productivity tools.
  • Demonstrates a passion for serving Lilly’s customers, highly motivated.

Preferred Experience & Skills:

  • 1-3 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, as a Medical Representative, showcasing a history of meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Innate ability to build and maintain strong, value-based relationships with customers and industry stakeholders.
  • Strategic mindset with a keen business acumen and the motivation to drive initiatives that align with company goals.
  • High adaptability with a continuous learning mindset, essential for staying abreast of scientific developments and market evolving dynamics.
  • Solution-oriented approach, capable of navigating challenges and adapting strategies to maintain trajectory toward business goals. Utilizes an omnichannel approach to meet the needs of customers and drive results through a mix of personalized, face-to-face engagements, virtual outreach, and innovative digital tactics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Hebrew and English).
