This role will work towards eliminating the wait for thousands of individuals and families, democratizing access by designing and curating innovative, value-based solutions to behavioral health’s global problem: value-based care—equitable, timely access to high-quality, customized services at a reasonable cost.

You will be responsible for developing and executing a growth strategy aligning with Catalight’s purpose and vision and fostering a culture of innovation and disruption. You will lead a team in identifying, evaluating, and implementing impactful solutions at the forefront of technological innovation, drive revenue growth, and attract donors to support our vital work to eliminate barriers and biases for individuals with disabilities.
You will work directly with our CEO and collaboratively with the executive team, leading business development, product development, and philanthropic fundraising teams.
Core Responsibilities & Essential Job Functions
Strategic Growth Leadership: Develop and implement a multi-year growth and innovation (G&I) strategy, setting ambitious and attainable goals:
- Proactive Market Research: Use data, trends, and predictive analytics to inform all potential growth avenues. Conduct in-depth research and competitive analysis to inform strategy. Use consumer insights and feedback to guide product development and refine existing clinical products.
- Strategic G&I Planning: Develop a multi-year G&I plan that motivates and inspires communities and internal and external partners to advocate for and support people with disabilities.
- Identify and develop different revenue streams with various expense ratios, resource density, and speed to scale of solution. Proactively develop a balanced portfolio of revenue sources.
- Implement a Go-To-Market strategy that brings strategic plans to life, providing end-to-end support.
Innovation and Disruption: As the FoC lead for innovation, foster a culture of creativity and experimentation within our family of companies, encouraging the development of groundbreaking ideas and tech integration. This may be through labs, design partnerships with forward thinkers, or any creative pathways you most appreciate.
- Trend Analysis: Monitor trends, emerging technologies, and competitive activities. Identify opportunities for integrating innovative technologies and practices into the company's product offerings through long-term planning and strategy building.
- Pitching concepts to the CEO, board, sponsors, donors, and executive team as they arise, backed by evidence and insights with recommendations.
- Proactively cultivate a culture of innovation throughout the company that fosters creative problem-solving and encourages healthy, high-performing teams. Collaborate to create learning pathways that promote design-centered thinking and a growth mindset across the FoC.
- Develop a vision for smart technology and AI in healthcare to lower service costs and decrease the demand for clinical resources, such as companies creating diagnostic technology.
Human Leadership: Build, develop, and inspire a healthy and high-performing G & I team committed to growth, development, and innovation.
- Actively facilitate employee spaces with charisma, vision, and clarity.
- Leads and fosters a team of capable creators, insight specialists, user-centered designers, and big-picture thinkers.
- Facilitates company-wide user design and creativity sessions that emphasize humanity and user design.
- Develops behavior-shifting plans utilizing various modalities for four distinct organizations.
New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business. Actively upsell and launch new health plan contracts in alignment with cross-company strategy. Considers + executes strategic partnerships, mergers, and acquisitions.
- Architect and lead for new revenue and impact streams that can be equal to/surpass our traditional business model revenue, with sustainable staffing and business design as drivers.
- Develop a Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) approach that breaks down barriers and biases resulting in inequitable care access.
- Actionable International Expansion: Build a plan for our international expansion of clinical product offerings, adapting our services with cultural expertise and language alignment
- Financial Performance: In partnership with the CFO, accelerate revenue growth, streamline operational costs, and enhance profitability.
Foundation Fundraising and Philanthropy Architecture: Build a team and supervise the development and execution of a strong fundraising strategy to secure funding for innovative initiatives and philanthropic programs. You are aiming for a $10M annual goal and a $50M foundation.
- Brand Development: Create high-quality digital materials that reinforce Catalight + Easterseals brand as a leading disability advocacy organization.
- Multi-channel marketing models: to reach a diverse range of donors.
- Cultivate a base of high-net-worth individuals: Develop a pipeline of individuals or family trusts interested in long-term giving.
Financial Accountability: Responsible for financial assessments and goal realization of the G & I department and team:
- Partner with finance: Develop business cases for new initiatives, ensuring profitability and return on investment (ROI).
- Define and track key KPIs: Measure financial success, innovation impact, and alignment with corporate objectives by tracking against clearly defined KPIs.

ADDITIONAL INFO:
- Salary range: $300-400/k Annually with potential bonus opportunities.
- Team works remotely and is based primarily in Northern CA.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to communicate effectively within the work environment, read and write using the primary language within the workplace.
- Visual and auditory ability to work with clients, staff and others in the workplace continuously.
- Frequent speaking and listening (25-75%) to clients, staff, and others in the workplace.

Conditions of Employment
- Ability to obtain and maintain criminal record clearance through the Department of Justice (DOJ). The People & Performance Department must analyze DOJ/FBI live scan reports in accordance with applicable Federal, State, and Local laws, as well as fitness for the position.
- Ability to obtain and maintain clearance through the Office of Inspector General.
