The Technical Sales Specialist will be responsible for achieving business targets, through sales development, channel management and field marketing programs, for the PerkinElmer Perten Food portfolio - in particular to promote the NIR process solutions.

The main territory to be covered is Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg and collaborating with colleagues in Northern Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Competes for all Food sales opportunities throughout the territory.
  • Builds and maintains strong customer and distributor relationships.
  • Constantly attempts to secure business in new accounts and follows customer account receivables.
  • Provides accurate monthly forecasting, updates and next steps within SFDC on a weekly basis as well as timely, accurate and competitive pricing to customers, and submit internal approvals.
  • Attends seminars, exhibitions and demonstrations to promote business
  • Maintains knowledge of PerkinElmer products, as well as knowledge of competitors’ products, prepares, documents and updates PerkinElmer presentation aids accordingly.
  • Develop close working relationships with internal parties: Field Applications Specialists and Fields Service Engineers

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, preferably in Chemistry or Food Science.
  • Strong experience selling within the food industry or lab instrument sales.
  • Experienced sales star who is results driven, energetic, effective, a self-starter with a strong motivation for sales.
  • Excellent in verbal and written communication and presentation skills and who is able to excel in an international sales environment.
  • Channel management / distributor sales experience.
  • Independent, with good organizational and team working skills, driving you to continuously seek new opportunities
  • Flexible, able to communicate with colleagues and customers, willingness to travel across the Nordics, UK and Ireland.
  • Desire to learn, grow and take the lead in a sales role within a fast-paced matrix organization.
  • Willingness to travel is essential up to 50%+
  • Current Driving licence
