Job description

The role of the Risk Officer is to communicate risk policies and processes for the organisation.  One will provide hands-on development of risk models involving market, credit and operational risk, assure controls are operating effectively, and provide research and analytical support. 

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the implementation of the Company’s risk management initiatives by effectively monitoring and identifying risks, implementing risk mitigation strategies, developing, and translating strategies into projects and processes to ensure adherence to desired business outcomes and department standards

  • Assisting in the implementation of the Company’s Risk Management Policies & Procedures

  • Assisting with the implementation of the Company’s Risk Monitoring Programme and ensuring this is updated to always capture all business risk areas

  • Together with other team members, drive innovation in the risk management processes by identifying opportunities for continuous improvement

  • Assist with the drafting of regular reports to the Risk & Audit Committee and Board of Directors of the Company as needed from time to time

  • Ensuring compliance with the UCITS investment restrictions, SFDR, IFR and assessing the relevant risks on an ongoing basis

  • Analyse the risk profile of client and proprietary open positions across multiple assets classes and implementing processes to always optimise exposures levels.

  • Keeping abreast of regulatory changes and industry best practices in the field of risk management

  • Assist with periodic monitoring including transaction monitoring

  • Ongoing involvement in non-BAU initiatives as delegated by Head of Risk 

  • Support the Head of Risk and be involved in other projects/initiatives as may be directed from time to time
