To advance our mission, we are implementing two critical digital transformation initiatives: a modern MS SharePoint intranet platform and a dynamic Business Intelligence (BI) platform. These projects aim to enhance internal communication, optimize operational efficiency, and provide robust data-driven insights for stakeholders. Additionally, this role will involve managing other IT and digital projects, focusing on legacy system optimization and consolidation.
Position
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the implementation of both the MS SharePoint intranet and Business Intelligence platforms. The ideal candidate will oversee the migration from old system to new one, develop new digital environments, and ensure alignment with organizational goals. This role requires strong expertise in IT project management, process optimization, and the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Management:
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables for both the SharePoint and BI implementations.
- Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation across multiple projects.
- Monitor project progress and address risks and issues to ensure timely delivery.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with internal teams, including HR, IT Support, and leadership, to align project deliverables with organizational needs.
- Act as the primary liaison between EIT RawMaterials and external vendors, managing contracts and ensuring deliverables meet quality standards.
SharePoint Intranet Implementation:
- Analyze the existing intranet to identify data, structures, and processes for migration.
- Develop and implement a SharePoint-based intranet platform as a single hub for organizational information, documents, templates, and news.
- Design a self-service portal for employees, including contract management and well-structured access control systems.
Business Intelligence Platform Implementation:
- Oversee the deployment of a Microsoft Azure-based BI platform, including Azure Data Lake, SQL-based data warehouses, and PySpark-based ETL pipelines.
- Guide the transition from static Power BI reports to interactive online dashboards supporting both internal and external stakeholders.
Legacy System Migration and Consolidation:
- Lead the reorganization and migration of legacy systems to improve operational efficiency.
- Identify and consolidate inefficient or redundant systems into the new digital environments.
Process Management:
- Analyze organizational processes to identify optimization and automation opportunities.
- Document and refine workflows to ensure seamless digital implementation.
Risk Management and Quality Assurance:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure successful outcomes.
- Establish quality assurance processes for data transformation, reporting, and platform usability.
Change Management and Training:
- Develop and execute change management strategies to support user adoption of new platforms.
- Organize training sessions, create user guides, and provide ongoing support for platform usability.
Operational Readiness:
- Establish access control and security protocols for both platforms.
- Implement monitoring and support mechanisms to ensure system stability and reliability.
Vendor and Partner Management:
- Organize tenders and manage contracts for external suppliers and partners.
- Supervise external vendors to ensure timely and quality deliverables.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) managing IT projects, including intranet and BI platform implementations.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of MS SharePoint, Office 365 ecosystems, and Microsoft Azure services.
- Experience with ETL tools, system migrations, digital consolidation, and access control management.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, or equivalent).
Process Management Expertise:
- Ability to analyze, optimize, and document organizational processes for digital transformation.
- Familiarity with automation and workflow optimization tools.
Project Management Expertise:
- Certification in PMP, or Agile methodologies is preferred.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing vendor relationships.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
