Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits currently seeks a Business Development Intern to join our Internship Program for the Summer of 2025. This program will provide students with the opportunity to gain real-world experience, gain a comprehensive understanding of the various functions within our business and prepare students with the kind of experience needed to have a rewarding career.

The Business Development Intern will report to the Director of Wine and Spirits Education and typically support one or more experienced Sales teams in the performance of assignments and spending time shadowing actual operations. The intern will also be presented with a unique assignment that will challenge them to think strategically and interface and collaborate with other cross-functional partners. The intern will be expected to make a final presentation to the Leadership Team at the end of the summer.

Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in, or recent graduate with a degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred, not required.
  • Must be 21+
  • Basic level of wine and spirits knowledge
  • Ability to conduct in-depth research
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Enthusiasm for the wine and spirits industry
Responsibilities:
  • Audit and suggest edits for all educational materials
  • Assist the training team with in-person training needs
  • As needed, assist in educational programs and projects
  • Work with managers to create and execute a meaningful project to benefit the education department
  • Assist Sales function by performing detailed analysis of current distribution of DFWS products
  • Research current wine and spirit trends in various geographic locations and making recommendations based on the trends
  • Assist in pricing accuracy across all distributor networks
Expectations:
  • The intern will be expected to work no more than 40 hours per week and will be compensated on an hourly basis.
  • This is a remote role.
