WHAT YOU'LL DO

The Compliance Analyst II – UDAAP will support the bank by performing reviews of the Bank and its BaaS Strategic Partners’ websites, social media and mobile apps for adherence to consumer protection laws and regulations. This position will involve vital monitoring and advisory support to the Bank and its partners in support of the UDAAP Program to ensure full compliance with UDAAP, industry regulations, related state laws, and internal policies. This will require maintaining up-to-date knowledge of all bank compliance rules and regulations.


Requirements

HOW YOU'LL DO IT

  • Complete ongoing monitoring reviews of websites and mobile applications using AI-driven software tools for regulatory compliance and UDAAP risk.
  • Utilize media listening tools to conduct marketing and social media compliance monitoring in accordance with policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize data analysis software tools and techniques to analyze, validate, and/or assess UDAAP risks, and evaluate controls to identify potential weaknesses and/or control gaps.
  • Assist leadership in resolving UDAAP and marketing compliance issues identified during ongoing monitoring and reviews of websites and mobile applications. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, team members, CCBX Relationship/Implementation Managers, CCBX Partners and Bank business line management.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and resource providing UDAAP and Marketing regulatory guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform analyses on data collected during reviews and ability to convert into useful information for impacted stakeholders throughout the Bank.
  • Understand the root cause of potential risks identified and effectively communicates said risks to management and business partners.
  • Maintain proficient knowledge of the rules and regulations, including but not limited to Section 5 of the Federal Trade Commission Act (UDAP); Title X of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act; State UDAP Laws; Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA); Federal Deposit Insurance Act; as well as other Federal Banking Laws and Regulations.
  • Assist with researching regulatory compliance requirements and evaluating the adequacy of business policies, procedures, training and reference materials, system, and manual processes.
  • Assist with compiling data and documents during audits and compliance examinations by regulatory agencies.
  • Recommend policies, procedures, training and processes to help ensure activities are conducted in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and rules.
  • Provide support in issue management and provide secondary reviews of materials as needed.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years of experience required working in financial regulatory compliance for a Bank or Fintech company. 
  • 3+ years of experience working in a Bank or Fintech company.
  • Experience in compliance, risk management, audit, or regulatory examination processes and activities.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements for Financial Services as they relate to advertising, promotions, and consumer protection regulations including but not limited to FDIC, FTC, Regulation DD, Regulation Z and UDAP/UDAAP.
  • Strong understanding of how to adapt US Banking regulations to compliance oversight reviews of applicable laws, rules, regulations, guidance, products and services, and controls.
  • Proficient in MS Office products and ability to build proficiency in other technology solutions used in the compliance function.
  • Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) designation preferred.
