Salary: $85,000 to $95,000 annually

Location: Points of Light is a remote-first organization. Any U.S. location in the Eastern or Central time zone in a market with a major airport.
Position Summary:
Points of Light is seeking an entrepreneurial problem solver who has a passion for social change, belief in the power of the private sector to impact community needs, and experience developing and delivering results-focused services, programs and solutions.
The Director, Corporate Activation works closely with Points of Light’s Corporate Activation team members, Points of Light affiliates and corporate CSR leaders to deliver best-in-class corporate volunteer experiences across US and global markets. They design, develop and lead the delivery of customized multi-market employee volunteer programs that seek to inspire employees, advance company social impact and employee engagement objectives, and meaningfully impact community needs.
The Director is responsible for ensuring exemplary customer service, providing advisory support and technical assistance, working across business units to ensure affiliate readiness, overseeing program implementation and leading evaluation of managed corporate projects that are consistent with Points of Light standards. The Director works with a team of passionate and talented colleagues who collaborate to source and develop innovative project models to engage corporate volunteers in new ways.
The Director, Corporate Activation leads practice development and capacity building for the corporate activation team, supporting the growth, skills development and competency-building of team members. The Director also leads continuous improvement of corporate activation management and delivery processes, tools, templates and systems to achieve greater efficiencies, effectiveness, partner and affiliate satisfaction, and financial returns.
The Director is a key partner for the Senior Vice President, Corporate Programs in strengthening and growing the delivery of Point of Light’s corporate activation business and actively participates in the cultivation and sales process in collaboration with the development department.
Position Functions and Responsibilities:
Corporate Activation Delivery:- Ensure seamless partnership delivery between Points of Light network affiliates and corporate partners through the scoping, planning and implementation stages of managed corporate projects, and lead delivery of large, high profile and/or complex partnerships and programs, as needed.
- Manage corporate activation team members to:
- Ensure affiliate readiness, effective implementation and meaningful evaluation of managed corporate projects that are consistent with Points of Light delivery standards;
- Establish and track affiliate deliverables related to corporate projects, including grant agreements, project descriptions, runs of show and post-event reports;
- Consistently deliver projects that meet or exceed Points of Light standards and result in high satisfaction ratings from affiliates, volunteers and corporate partners;
- Compile and analyze project results from across markets and generate post-event reports that include both quantitative and qualitative outcomes; and
- Promote excellence and agility in program administration and project execution.
- Lead internal cross-functional teams in support of corporate activation partnerships, coordinating with development, evaluation, networks & NGO programs, marketing and finance as needed to ensure the success of partnership delivery.
- Monitor and report partnership status, including financial, market, relationship, and delivery issues and risks, and provide updates to internal stakeholders.
- Identify delivery options and/or directly develop and manage corporate projects in markets without a Points of Light affiliate or activation partner.
- Provide leadership and on-the-ground project support, as needed, for affiliate-managed corporate projects.
Corporate Activation Team Leadership and Practice Development: - Supervise a team of managers and senior managers and provide regular feedback on performance to ensure outstanding results and professional development.
- Model team values and serve as a mentor and resource for colleagues.
- Play a collaborative supporting role in sales and business development meetings with the development team as well as reviewing proposals for prospective partners and responding to partnership inquiries.
- Oversee budgeting and financial management of the corporate activation portfolio in close partnership with the development and finance departments.
- Manage collection of financial and impact data and lead reporting on performance and results.
- Direct Corporate Activation Reserve Squad (CARS) program.
Core Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:- Deep experience managing programs across the project lifecycle from scoping/planning to implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and motivate and develop employees.
- Demonstrated ability to operate with autonomy and manage partnership and program delivery according to clear decision making criteria within significant complexity, ambiguity and delivery constraints.
- Results-driven with an ability to manage multiple commitments with limited supervision and a high level of attention to quality and detail.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills across different cultures, levels within organizations and functions, and corporate and nonprofit sectors.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and creativity in strategy development and formulating practical activation.
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial management acumen. OR Experience building proposals and budgets or contributing to revenue goals
- Deep sense of empathy and commitment to community service.

- Demonstrated experience in collaborative decision-making and the ability to thrive in team-based environments.
Requirements:- 5-7 years of relevant experience in corporate social responsibility, corporate employee volunteer programs or volunteer management in either a nonprofit or for-profit setting.
- Able to occasionally travel overnight and/or internationally (estimated 10-15%).
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Salesforce, program management software (Asana), volunteer management systems and data analytics/visualization tools are a plus.
- Some non-traditional hours for early morning and/or late evening calls are an expectation of this role given the global footprint of our corporate partners and affiliate network.
