Job description

Title - Application Support Specialist
Location - Remote
Duration - 6 months + possible extensions

Job Summary
The Applications Support Specialist is responsible for defining business and functional requirements, designs and manages technology applications, systems, and projects to support initiatives for Studio Systems group.

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
  • Serve as systems administrator for various applications for Global Security and Business Continuity groups (including Fusion Risk Management, Veoci, Sureview Immix, access control systems, agile workplace management system, etc.)
  • Handle all basic administrative functions including user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, workflows and other routine tasks
  • Manage data feeds and other systems integrations
  • Assists in defining, documenting, and evaluating the current business functions and information needs
  • Assists in defining, documenting, and evaluating the current business functions and information needs
  • Troubleshoots software and/or operating system issues as necessary, including performing hands-on correction of problems
  • Interfaces with many layers of management and support personnel throughout domestic and International offices, if applicable
  • Designs specifications and assign programming and testing
  • Assists the Project Leader or Project Manager in developing and maintaining project work plans, and in meeting project expectations regarding completion on time and within budget
  • Works with Information Processing and Systems Planning staff, other systems development teams, and outside vendors, where appropriate, to plan and schedule required resources
  • Trains system users and ensures systems efficiency
Qualifications/Skills
Basic qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a related position/system assisting a large and high priority client base
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in systems implementation
  • Strong system configuration knowledge
  • Advanced application software skills including MS Office applications, and knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server) are highly desired


Desired skills/experience

Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Computer Science is preferred
  • Able to work independently and to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Desire and ability to develop professionally, both by learning from and sharing knowledge with co-workers
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Able to solve most issues and/or challenges independently
  • Superior communication skills in working with technical and non-technical people and the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships among all levels of an organization
  • Flexibility and expediency in learning new modules as required
  • Business knowledge of Security systems and Business Continuity are preferred
  • Background in Customer Service is preferred
