Job Description:

The Commonwealth of PA is seeking an experienced .NET Developer to work on the Pennsylvania Transit Database (PennTD), a greenfield web application for PennDOT’s Bureau of Public Transit. The system is being built using the latest .NET and Angular technologies and deployed to the Azure cloud. The application will improve communication between PennDOT, the Federal Department of Transit, and public transit agencies in Pennsylvania while modernizing legacy systems.

The selected candidate will work under the direction of the Technical Lead and Application Architect to develop, test, and document code for system features and enhancements.

Responsibilities:

Develop backend services and applications using .NET Core and C#.
Build web applications using ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, and ASP.NET Core.
Design and maintain SQL Server/T-SQL databases, with experience in Azure SQL.
Develop and integrate RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
Utilize testing frameworks such as XUnit/NUnit, preferably Jasmine and Karma.
Implement ORMs, including Entity Framework and Dapper.
Work with containerization technologies, preferably Docker.
Implement cloud services using Azure Functions, Azure Queue, Azure Storage, Azure Container Registry, and Key Vault.
Develop front-end components using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and preferably jQuery and Bootstrap.
Use Angular, with experience in Angular 14 or later.
Work with Visual Studio 2022, VS Code, and Azure DevOps/Git for version control and deployment.
Ensure digital accessibility and disability inclusion, complying with WCAG 2.1 AA, Section 508, and ADA regulations.
