Job Description

The Technology Risk Governance Analyst plays a critical role in developing, implementing, and maintaining robust IT governance frameworks, policies, and procedures aligned with industry best practices. This position ensures that IT operations comply with regulatory requirements, risk management objectives, and compliance standards. The analyst will support a variety of governance and compliance initiatives, including SOX, HIPAA, gaming commission regulations, and other relevant laws. Key responsibilities include developing governance policies and procedures, managing accurate inventories of regulatory requirements, evaluating regulatory compliance, and assisting with internal and external audits by providing essential compliance documentation. Additionally, the analyst will stay informed about regulatory changes and industry developments, helping the organization proactively adapt to evolving compliance standards and requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain IT governance frameworks, policies, and procedures in line with industry best practices.
  • Evaluate IT operations for compliance with regulatory requirements and risk management objectives.
  • Support a range of governance and compliance initiatives, including SOX, HIPAA, gaming regulations, and other relevant laws.
  • Maintain and manage up-to-date inventories of regulatory requirements and compliance obligations.
  • Promote IT governance awareness and deliver training programs to key IT stakeholders.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring thorough documentation and evidence for compliance activities.
  • Stay current with the latest changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards impacting IT compliance.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field.

Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience in IT governance, risk management, or IT compliance.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, and gaming regulations.
  • Experience with governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) tools is highly desirable.
  • Previous exposure to gaming regulations is a plus.

Skills And Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, and software applications.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with regulatory, security, and privacy laws and frameworks.
  • Experience with risk management and audit processes.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing compliance activities.
