University of the Cumberlands is seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in Counseling and Social Work, or related degrees  to join our faculty as an adjunct professor for the Master's in Addiction Studies program. The ideal candidate will have expertise in addiction theory, research methodologies, clinical practices, and a commitment to educating the next generation of addiction professionals. This role involves teaching graduate-level courses, professionally advising students, and contributing to the development of the program’s academic offerings.

Required Qualifications:

  • Earned master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a Related Field
  • Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related degrees.
  • Relevant professional licenses and certifications (e.g., Addictions therapist, LCAC, LCADC, LCSW, LPCC, or other state/national certifications) are required.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledgeable of CACREP and CSWE accredited  programs
  • Work experience in clinical mental health and/or addiction treatment
  • Experience in clinical supervision
  • Experience using telehealth modalities in clinical practice.
