â° Hours: 40 hours/week.
â Location: USA (California-preferred) / remote work.
â Starting date: April/May 2025.
Do you bring expertise in logistics, truck electrification, and sustainable solutions? Join Smart Freight Centre to lead transformative initiatives that accelerate the transition to zero-emission freight and make a global impact. We're seeking an experienced Fleet Electrification Program Manager to guide our projects and inspire action within our powerful coalition of industry leaders, governments, and NGOs.Â
âï¸ About Smart Freight Centre:
Think about the package that just arrived at your doorstep; the products on store shelves, or the goods being shipped across oceans. Logistics is everywhere, powering the world we live in. And because itâs everywhere, itâs also one of the biggest contributors to carbon emissions globally.
Â
Thatâs where Smart Freight Centre (SFC) steps in. Weâre tackling the carbon footprint of logistics head-on, working with businesses, governments, and key players around the globe. Our mission? To transform the logistics sector into a zero-emission industry by 2050âor hopefully even sooner. Want to help drive this change? Join us.
âï¸ About the position:
Freight trucks significantly contribute to global greenhouse gas emissions and local air pollution, disproportionately affecting disadvantaged communities. Truck electrification is a critical strategy for decarbonizing logistics.
As the Fleet Electrification Program Manager, you will lead efforts to address investment barriers, foster stakeholder engagement, and implement innovative, real-world solutions for scaling electric truck deployment. Reporting to the Director of Road Freight Electrification, you will collaborate within the Fleet Electrification Coalition (FEC), engaging shippers, logistics service providers, carriers, investors, truck manufacturers, and policymakers to achieve net-zero trucking emissions by 2050.
Your leadership will empower shippers and fleet owners to electrify their operations, amplify market demand signals, and develop scalable solutions. This is a pivotal role in shaping the future of sustainable freight transportation.
