About the role

The Analog IC Design Engineer implements integrated circuits in new functions and families, either as the technical leader based on existing solutions and architectures or as member of the design team with the complexity of introducing new IP and technology. The cross functional team is responsible for the design, validation, qualification and release of new products ensuring that new products are released to customer / market requirements and to appropriate quality standards.

The designs are developed and verified with simulations, based on SPICE models. The designer translates the electrical schematic into a die mask layout, designed and verified with existing layout design rules and guidelines. The die design is engineered to fit the package and verified with existing assembly rules.

What you will do

Design and verification of the IP and IC to ensure technical requirements
Technical Lead in project teams on activities towards the introduction of new products to timelines defined within project plans.
Ensure that new product releases meet manufacturability, reliability, customer and market requirements in collaboration with product management, wafer process, assembly and test
Provide project management and/or technical expertise for the team as required
Assist the product management by providing technical support with respect to specification and justification of new product developments, answering specific customer technical enquiries and complaints
Develop appropriate levels of knowledge in associated areas of product development work, namely the product release process, systems, project management, product specification, simulation and design.
Develop subject matter knowledge and expertise in at least one area of R&D

What you will need

BsC/MsC with minimal 5 years’ Experience in IC design
Depth and breadth of understanding of electrical devices in CMOS and BCD front-end technologies, electrical operation, reliability, and failure modes
Depth and breadth understanding package flows and electrical interactions with the IC in leaded, leadless and wafer level packaging
Expert in Analog IP design, Logic I/O, switches, comparators, charge-pump, bandgap and ESD
IC simulation tools, layout tools and modelling, SPICE based
Design of experiments
Planning, organizing and controlling projects adhering to plans and budgets, as well as reporting on progress
Active learning, taking advice and seeking feedback for personal development
Collaboration with others, either in immediate team or outside R&D
Clear communication of progress
Creative and analytical skills
Time-planning and multi-tasking
Mentoring of junior engineers
