We are seeking a detail-oriented Virtual Assistant - Bookkeeper to manage financial transactions, reconcile accounts, and ensure accurate financial records for our business. The ideal candidate will have experience in bookkeeping, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to handle financial tasks with efficiency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable/receivable, invoices, and payroll.
Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank and credit card statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Expense Tracking: Categorize and monitor company expenses, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
Invoicing & Payments: Generate and send invoices, follow up on outstanding payments, and process supplier/vendor payments.
Reporting: Prepare financial reports such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
Tax Preparation Support: Assist in gathering financial data for tax filings and liaise with accountants as needed.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in creating budgets and financial projections for business planning.
Software Management: Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or FreshBooks to manage bookkeeping tasks efficiently.
Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all financial records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with company policies and industry regulations.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Virtual Assistant - Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
Proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero, FreshBooks, or Wave.
Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
High level of integrity and confidentiality when handling financial data.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or certification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience with cloud-based bookkeeping and remote collaboration tools.
Knowledge of payroll processing and tax filing procedures.
