We are Thinksurance – one of Germany's leading InsurTech companies. Our mission is to digitize the commercial insurance market and revolutionize product development. With our online platform, we empower customers, brokers, insurance agencies, and insurers to cover commercial and industrial risks quickly and easily. As a Data Engineer, you will design and maintain robust ETL pipelines, collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data accessibility, and ensure the stability and quality of our data systems. Join us in shaping the future of data-driven insurance solutions.
AT THINKSURANCE NO TWO DAYS ARE THE SAME! YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

This includes implementing new data organisation strategies.
  • Collaborate with analytics and business teams to enhance data-driven insights derived from a centralized data lake, championing the concept of a single source of truth. This involves developing data models leveraging business intelligence, data science tools, and other relevant technologies to improve data accessibility and promote a data-driven culture.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive unit and integration tests, and contribute to internal knowledge sharing by maintaining and updating engineering documentation and wikis. This also includes mentoring and sharing best practices. Actively contribute to team growth by identifying opportunities to leverage the team's collective expertise.
  • Guarantee data quality and production stability through proactive monitoring and the implementation of best-practice data engineering methodologies.
  • Conduct thorough data analysis to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data-related issues. This includes designing and implementing data integration and data cleansing processes.
  • Partner effectively with cross-functional teams, product managers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver impactful data solutions. This requires excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and take proactively ownership. Foster a collaborative team environment by promoting open communication and actively seeking input from team members in the decision process.

  • Communication skills and out-of-the-box-mindset
