Job Title: Legal Intake Specialist
Job Type: Full-Time
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, U.S. Business Hours
Salary: $1,000

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Legal Intake Specialist to handle the initial client intake process for a law firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering essential case details, pre-screening potential clients, and ensuring accurate data entry into the firm's system. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of legal procedures, and the ability to handle sensitive client information with discretion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the first point of contact for potential clients via phone, email, and chat.
  • Conduct initial client screenings by gathering relevant case details.
  • Accurately enter client information into the case management system.
  • Assess case viability based on established firm criteria and provide recommendations.
  • Schedule consultations and follow up with prospective clients.
  • Provide basic information about legal services and address client inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with firm policies and confidentiality regulations.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to streamline the intake process.
  • Maintain organized records of client interactions and follow-up activities.
Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of experience in a legal intake, customer service, or administrative role within a law firm or related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Experience handling confidential information with professionalism.
  • Familiarity with case management software (Clio, MyCase, or similar is a plus).
  • Ability to assess client needs and determine case eligibility.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in personal injury, family law, criminal defense, or immigration law intake.
  • Background in customer service or sales is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures.
