Are you passionate about sustainability, rubber and driving positive impact? Do you share our aspiration to develop and implement a marketing plan for a key commodity like natural rubber? If so, then our Rubber Commodity Lead rolewith a specific focus on Rubber, based in either Thailand or Malaysia could be the ideal opportunity for you.

What you can expect:

As a Rubber Commodity Lead, you will be Preferred by Nature’s central point of contact, both internally and externally. Your expertise and vision will be instrumental in shaping related positions and public communications and positioning Preferred by Nature and yourself as a thought-leader in the global natural rubber community. Your responsibilities include spearheading Preferred by Nature's positions on rubber, ensuring updated rubber awareness internally, building strong relationships with key stakeholders as well as developing and nurturing rubber related networks.

Working with us is never routine so the first year you can expect the following areas to be central to your work.

  • Develop and execute sustainable impact strategies for Rubber as a commodity. Stay updated about Rubber commodity trends and challenge and update our staff on key topics.
  • Represent Preferred by Nature in international and regional media and events related to Rubber. Foster relationships with key accounts, influencers, and relevant executives in rubber related industries
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for country-specific market development. Facilitate sales strategy, resource planning, and goal achievement.
  • Track, analyze, and report regional market trends, competitors, and strategic inputs. Monitor sales data for performance evaluation and adjustment of marketing strategy.
  • Creation of bespoke audit standards and independent verification programmes, review of companies’ internal auditing programmes and conducting commodity or country level risk assessments
  • Lead technical development of frameworks and tools needed to enable PbN to offer services that could meet the needs of rubber industries.
  • To be a technical resource person in all aspects of sustainable natural rubber production. To be assigned as technical expert in PbN client services.

Your first year with us:

Within three months, you will:

  • Develop a deep understanding of Preferred by Nature's mission, our strategic objectives and approach.
  • Familiarize yourself with our existing strategies and ongoing projects in Rubber sector
  • Participate and represent Preferred by Nature in webinars, events, and networking.

Within six months, you will:

  • Take the lead in crafting and promoting sustainability strategies for Rubber commodities.
  • Enable our assurance, projects and tailored service divisions with relevant rubber insights and competencies
  • Expand your existing network of rubber-related key accounts and industry influencers.

Within one year, you will:

  • Build relationships with key partners, clients, stakeholders, and industry associations in the Rubber sector. Identify and present new opportunities for expanding Preferred by Nature's impact in Rubber sector
  • Be well underway in establishing Preferred by Nature and yourself as a recognized thought leader in the global rubber community by participating in multiple international and regional media events and publications.
  • Establish a system for sharing relevant rubber-related resources, research findings, and market insights with internal teams to keep them informed and empowered.

Important that you:

  • Have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in agriculture sciences, economics, international trade, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in Agriculture or forestry related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of natural rubber production processes, supply chain dynamics, and sustainability standards.
  • Excellent English in communication, writing, reading skills
  • Have a developed rubber network within NGOs, business sector, donors, public sector, target group.
