Atwell is currently seeking an Electrical Designer with experience working in the Renewable Energy and Utility space. This work includes support to Developers, IPPs, Utilities, EPCs, and Owner/Operators of Power Delivery, Wind, Solar, and Energy Storage systems. The work entails engineering design for Power Delivery of Renewable Wind and PV projects ranging in sizes from 100KW to 1,000MW and Battery Storage systems from 5MWh to 1,000MWh+.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
(3) plus, years of experience in Renewable Energy or Utility projects.
Experience in utility or merchant power industry is a plus.
Good understanding of utility-scale engineering design, specifically working on utility scale solar and BESS projects.

Day to Day

Ensure Atwell quality procedures are followed.
Perform QA/QC for deliverables to clients.
Electrical design of utility scale Wind, Solar PV and Battery Storage design projects.
Utilize various engineering power systems software, such as PSCAD, AutoCAD, PVSyst and/or PVCase.
Work closely with lead engineers to run design and performance software for energy storage and renewables.
Apply real-world project design engineering/construction experience with a combination of battery storage, solar, and alternative energy related technologies.
Develop electrical designs for battery storage, solar, EV DC fast charging and microgrid related technologies.
