Job Overview


We are an established and forward-thinking firm seeking a highly skilled AU Management Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with partners, clients, and internal teams to oversee and manage financial reporting, tax compliance, advisory services, and other key accounting functions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least 5 years of experience in management accounting to develop their career further, contribute to strategic decision-making, and drive operational efficiency within a collaborative and supportive environment.


Job Description

As the AU Management Accountant, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Preparing financial reports for partners and contributing to management reporting processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and managing tax compliance tasks.
  • Providing advisory services to clients, including strategic input and financial planning.
  • Overseeing bookkeeping activities, including AP/AR management and bank reconciliations.
  • Drafting and reviewing management reports and participating in strategy meetings and planning.
  • Managing the payroll process and ensuring BAS/IAS/Superannuation compliance.
  • Ensuring compliance with Workcover and TPAR requirements.
  • Preparing and lodging BAS/ITR, Financial Statements, and other statutory reports.
  • Conducting bookkeeping reviews and ensuring accuracy across financial records.
  • Maintaining and improving workflow management for efficient financial operations.
  • Building and nurturing strong relationships with clients and providing ongoing advisory support.
  • Developing and managing process maps to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
  • Participating in research and development initiatives to support continuous improvement.


Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as an AU Management Accountant.
  • Australian Certified.
  • Strong experience in using Xero and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Office 365).
  • High attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy in complex financial reports.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to engage and advise clients.
  • Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential financial information.
  • Experience in advisory services and contributing to strategy planning.
  • Knowledge of payroll processing, BAS/ITR lodgments, and financial statement preparation.
  • Experience with research and development related to financial processes and reporting.
