The Business Development Representative will report to the Director of Demand Generation and will be responsible for working cross-functionally with the Sales team and Demand Generation team to support business revenue and growth goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead Generation
- Research – eCommerce retailers/brands to find new viable opportunities that align with our ICP/Personas/Vertical Markets.
- Lead Generation/prospecting – Proactively seek new (untouched) business leads by leveraging ABM intent information and reaching out via outbound channel - cold email, cold calls, networking and social selling.
- Qualify leads - ask appropriate qualification questions to understand the ecommerce retailers business, pain points, challenges, and how our solutions will benefit them.
- Book meetings - for prospect and assigned sales director.
- Lead Nurture -
- Develop assigned business partnerships (existing) in collaboration with assigned Sales Director
- Work collaboratively with assigned Sales Director to help generate a month-over-month healthy pipeline.
- Hit weekly productivity goals and proactively track, measure, and report on program and campaign success metrics
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Proven work experience as a B2B Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executive, or similar role.
- Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques and tools (Salesforce, Salesloft, Demandbase/ABM, etc.)
- Track record of achieving weekly/monthly lead quotas
- Market/industry knowledge in supply chain/transportation and shipping or related field a plus but not required.
- Strong communication, listening skills, and ability to influence and persuade others
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter, ability to achieve goals without daily supervision
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and decision-making skills
- Strong business acumen and writing skills
- Excellent organizational, project management, and collaboration skills
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and act as a positive agent of change
Work Experience & Education
Minimum of 1- 3 years of experience in B2B lead generation, inside sales, or field marketing role
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or comparable education/experience
