Job description

Role: Sales Application Engineer                                                    

Department: Sales/Marketing

Location: Remote or Gilford, NH

Reporting to: Operations Coordinator

The Role & Responsibilities for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Sales Application Engineer:

  1. Technical Expertise: Serve as the primary technical resource for the sales team regarding UAV products, systems, and solutions. Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and competitor offerings. 
  2. Pre-Sales Support: Collaborate with sales representatives to understand customer requirements, provide technical guidance, and offer customized solutions tailored to meet specific needs. 
  3. Proposal Development: Assist in the preparation of technical proposals, quotations, and bids for UAV projects. Provide technical input and support the sales team in creating comprehensive and compelling proposals that align with customer requirements. 
  4. Training and Education: Conduct training sessions and workshops for internal sales teams, channel partners, and customers to enhance their understanding of UAV technology, applications, and use cases. 
  5. Post-Sales Support: Provide technical assistance and support to customers post-sale, including installation guidance, troubleshooting, and resolution of technical issues. Ensure customer satisfaction and promote long-term relationships. 
  6. Collaboration: Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing across cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, engineering, and product development, to drive business growth and achieve sales targets. 
  7. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, technical specifications, and project details. Generate reports and documentation as required for internal use and customer communication. 
  8. Continuous Learning: Continuously update knowledge and skills through training, certifications, and self-study to stay abreast of advancements in UAV technology and sales strategies.

Requirements
  • Skills and Qualifications:

    • Educated to bachelor’s degree level or equivalent.
    • Ideally with a minimum of 5 years sales experience in UAV and/or Aerospace markets.
    • Self-motivated with a can-do attitude, and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent written and communication skills.
    • UAV industry and/or start up business experience an advantage.
