Application Engineer - Construction Digital Site Management Software

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Application Engineer for Construction Software to develop and train Trimble’s distribution partners on our advanced Construction Site Management software and Workflows. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction software applications, Civil Engineering processes, connectivity and 3D construction designs. This role focuses on promoting the Civil Construction Field Solutions suite of software such as Trimble Business Center, WorksManager, WorksOS, Trimble Connect among others to Trimble’s distribution partners and the wider construction market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Training and Support: Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for distribution partners on the use of our Construction Site Management software;

  • Software Expertise: Act as the subject matter expert on the software’s functionalities, including productivity tools, process improvement features, project data management, 3D design integration, and connectivity solutions;

  • Technical Assistance: Provide ongoing technical support to distribution partners, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring optimal software usage;

  • Productivity Enhancement: Educate partners to show customers how to leverage the software to enhance productivity and streamline construction site operations;

  • Process Improvement: Help distribution partners to demonstrate to end users how to find and make their processes better using the software;

  • Project Data Management: Train distribution how to demonstrate to customers the best ways to collect, store, and analyze project data to keep it accurate and easy to access;

  • 3D Design Integration: Instruct partners on integrating 3D models into the software to improve project planning and visualization;

  • Connectivity Solutions: Ensure partners understand and are able to implement connectivity solutions to facilitate seamless communication and data sharing for their customers;

  • Feedback Loop: Collect feedback from distribution partners to inform product development and enhancements.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with construction site management software solutions;

  • Very good understanding of English language;

  • Strong understanding of Civil Construction processes, jobsite productivity improvements, project management, and data management;

  • Familiarity with 3D design software and integration techniques.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail;

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with distribution partners.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with construction software, ideally Trimble Business Center, WorksManager and WorksOS or other similar software;

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques;

  • Experience of presenting to small and large groups.
