National Sales, Finals & Deal Strategy Manager/Director will be responsible for developing strategies and tactics for Premier Market sales (defined as $10M+ sales opportunities), with the goal of enhancing our closing ratios and asset sales in the critically important market segment.

Practice Leadership, coaching & mentoring:

  • Providing guidance, coaching and mentorship to sales and services team members on Premier Market sales.
  • Leveraging industry insights, team-based selling techniques and consultative selling to deliver a differentiated sales experience in Premier Market sales finals.
  • Continuously improve the team’s finalist meeting process, ensuring best practices throughout the process are shared and leveraged across the sales organization.
  • Conduct pipeline check-ins and strategy calls with regional sales reps for Premier Market sales opportunities.
  • Facilitate enhanced data collection on Premier Market sales activity and key metrics (e.g., advancement and close ratios).
  • Collaborate with the RFP team to continuously improve the Premier Market RFP response repository.
  • Lead assigned Premier Market internal sales strategy calls.
  • As needed, participate in Premier Market sales finalist meetings covering technology demos and other finalist meeting agenda items.
  • Identify and promote Premier Market sales best practices with all Core Market Sales team members.
  • Represent The Standard at specific industry and select partner conferences/events to build brand image for Premier Market sales, focusing on capabilities awareness, strengthen existing relationships, and identify and develop new organizational relationships.

Marketing, Playbook and Communications SME:

  • Update Premier Market Sales Playbook as best practices evolve.
  • Create custom presentation decks for Premier Market prospects, in collaboration with Marketing.
  • Continuous improvement of a market leading finalist presentations, in collaboration with our marketing team.
  • Partnering with our marketing team to create a repository for compelling (and consistently improving) finalist meeting communications and sales collateral.
  • Identify and promote best practices for Premier Market RFPs.
  • Track results of sales finals with an emphasis on continuous improvements in all elements of the Premier Market sales process.
  • Perform additional sales, marketing, promotional and special projects as assigned.

Skills and Background You’ll Need

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Marketing or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-years industry experience, with at least 5-years of representing mid/large-market defined contribution market-facing sales.
  • Professional certification required:  You will be required to transfer or obtain a Series 6 /7, with Series 63 where applicable, OR a Series 65 license, as well as a life insurance license, within 90 days of your date of hire. These licenses are required as part of your position. If you do not already hold these licenses, it is our expectation that this process be initiated immediately after your date of hire. Please contact designated RP Compliance Manager, during your first week, to initiate this process. If you take the securities licensing examination but fail, you will be given one additional 90-day study period. Failure to pass the examination will result in termination from the position. The Standard will provide study materials and five paid study days within thirty days of your date of hire and pay fees associated with the licensing process.

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.

 

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.

Salary Range:

$100K Base + Incentive Compensation
