Job Description

We are currently looking for a Director, Enterprise & Wholesales Sales Engineering to join our growing team! In this role, you will be responsible for leading all pre-sales engineering for Enterprise & Wholesale, owning strategy creation & pre-sales engineering engagement for the business.

As a Director, Enterprise & Wholesales Sales Engineering, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee all sales engineering strategy, working cross-functionally within our organization – network planning, engineering/construction, & service delivery
  • Responsible for creating & leading strategic projects & initiatives – internally & externally
  • Consultatively approach customers to understand business challenges, clearly articulating strategies & solutions – internally & externally
  • Provide oversight for customer designs, network infrastructure alignment, program development, processes, and technical documentation
  • Lead critical projects & activities related to strategic carrier growth & network design
  • Travel to customer meetings & industry conferences
  • Strong public speaking – Ability to drive results from planning, strategy, & execution
  • Oversee & assist the SE organization in preparing, completing, and presenting all technical designs and documentation to customers & internal stakeholders (engineering and Service Delivery)
  • Deliver confidence to the wholesale customers by being a subject matter technology expert
  • Play a critical role in developing the standards by which we evolve

Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

  • 10+ years of telecommunications experience supporting technical projects
  • Proven leader who has demonstrated an ability to drive technical projects
  • Carrier telecommunications experience – supporting both wireless & wireline services
  • Strong knowledge of telecommunications technologies & design principles – particularly carrier services
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively work cross-functionally while managing multiple large projects
  • Strategic & analytical skills capable of developing & leading revenue growth
  • Customer-oriented with a strong track record of establishing trusted relationships

BONUS POINTS FOR:

  • Master’s degree in business, or computer science
  • Industry certifications – CCNP, MEF Network Expert, JNCIS-SP, etc.
